    Admin Message

I hope this message finds you well as we embrace another exciting month at New Sarepta Elementary School. It’s been a great month filled with achievements, growth, and collaborative efforts that truly reflect the spirit of our exceptional school community.

This month our students joined the High School to honour those who have served in the military and sacrificed for their country for Remembrance Day. Thank you to Mr. Richardson at NSCHS for organizing this very meaningful and thoughtful event.

We celebrated kindness week in November, which is a fantastic way to promote positivity, resilience and encourage acts of kindness within a community.

As we look ahead, there are some exciting events on the horizon. Our Grade 5-6 basketball teams have begun their season, their next game is Dec 5th, with the year-end tournament happening in January.

It is a great privilege to celebrate the holidays with so many excited young people. To see the Holidays through the eyes of a child is truly magical. I am extremely proud of our students and very excited for our Christmas Concert this year on December 20th.

I wish you all the best this winter (spring-ish) season.
    Mr. Froland

    Scholastic Book Fair

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you to all the parents, guardians, and students that have shopped at the book fair so far! It is a huge success, and I am overwhelmed by the generosity of our wonderful school community!  Your generosity will provide many additional books for the library in the months to come. ~ Mrs. Noble

Kindergarten would like to ask if anyone has colourful buttons at home to donate we would be very grateful!! We will be using buttons for sorting and to add to our art activities for the month!

Tis the Season of Giving: This year in Kindergarten we are once again permitted the gift of giving. Our classes will create a wreath of warmth to build a beautiful bulletin board. We will collect new or slightly used hats, mitts, scarves to donate to charities in and around the New Sarepta area. This shows the children how wonderful it feels to give to others who are less fortunate but also it creates a community spirit of giving in the classroom. We will be discussing the importance of care for others and new items will be given to FCSS to support Christmas Elves.

    Christmas Elves Food Drive

Send non-perishable food donations for our local Christmas Elves program which helps support our New Sarepta community families in need. We have a table set up outside the office to showcase our community’s generosity. The deadline is December 15. Thank you to Lucille Erickson at FCSS for coordinating this fantastic initiative.

The New Sarepta Christmas Elves appreciates your non-perishable food donations (please no expired food or home preserves). Please know that all canned and dry food items are accepted and appreciated. Thank you for your donations!

What an exciting December we have planned for CEC. We will be saying farewell to Miss Jenna who will be going on maternity leave. From the staff and students at NSE we wish Miss Jenna a wonderful time with her family as they await the arrival of their new baby. Students for Sabre Day on November 23rd spoke about kindness and taking care of others. Our Sabre Day theme was Twin Day. It is a great example of finding your support and the people around you. During December the students read the book Spot a little Kindness and created posters for Christmas Elves. In December students are learning about Empathy and Confidence. We will be doing fun Christmas activities on December 21st to wrap up our 2023 year and heading into the holiday season. We wish you and your family a happy and healthy break. Mrs. Hiller and Miss Jenna
