    Principal’s Message–December 2024

    Dear NSE Families,
The holiday season is upon us, and December is already shaping up to be an exciting and busy month here at school!
We are thrilled to announce our annual Christmas Concert on Wednesday, December 18th. There will be two performances: an afternoon performance at 1:00 PM and an evening performance at 7:00 PM. All our students have been working hard to prepare, and we can’t wait to celebrate the season with you. Please mark your calendars and join us for this special event!
In addition to the concert, we are pleased to offer skating opportunities for all classes this month. This is always a favourite activity for our students, and we are excited to see everyone enjoying some time on the ice. Please watch for additional details from your child’s teacher regarding their class skating schedule.
As always, thank you for your continued support in making our school a wonderful place to learn and grow, and I wish you all a joyful and festive holiday season!
    Warm regards,
    Rob Froland

Thank you to all the parents, guardians, and students that came to shop at the book fair! It has been a huge success, and I am again overwhelmed by the generosity of our wonderful school community! The GRAND total came to $4944.80, which allows us an incredible $1854.02 worth of new books for the library! Congratulations to Gavin Z. and Mr. Anger who each won $25 worth of books in the Family Event Door Prize Draw. We also wish to congratulate all the students that won one of the display posters as a door prizeThank you, parents, students, and teachers for generously supporting this library fundraiser.  Sincerely, Mrs. Noble

    Dear Families,

We are excited to remind you about our upcoming Home Alone Christmas Concert happening on Wednesday, December 18th with two showtimes: 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM.

Each class will be performing a special song, and you’ll receive details about your child’s class performance in a letter from their homeroom teacher. Please keep an eye out for this important information!

We’re also looking for volunteers to help make the event extra special by assisting with stage decorating. If you’re interested and didn’t get a chance to sign-up sheets during parent-teacher interviews, contact Mrs. Kruk at [email protected].

Thank you for your support in making this event a memorable celebration of the season. We can’t wait to see you there!

    Season Greetings,

Mrs. Kruk and Christmas Concert Team!

    Fire Chief For A Day

During National Fire Week, our students had the opportunity to visit the New Sarepta Fire Hall where they were tasked to create a fire escape plan with their families. All students who completed this were entered into a draw to be “Fire Chief For A Day”. These two students, Sawyer D. & Stella N. won a pizza lunch with the firefighters at the hall on November 28.

    Remembrance Day Ceremony

New Sarepta Community High School hosted our Remembrance Day assembly on November 8th.  The ceremony was jointly presented with New Sarepta Elementary School. Our student’s Acts of Remembrance was to recognize the contributions of the men and women who have served to protect our country, especially those who lost their lives doing so. We thank all of the community members who joined our assembly that day.

    Cooking Up A Story

On November 5th, New Sarepta Elementary Families had an opportunity to take part in creating a healthy family supper together. NSE and MHCB partnered together for our family night, families prepared a delicious meal together, listened to stories while the food was baking. Thank you to everyone who participated.

    Halloween Celebration

Our Halloween assembly was definitely a treat this year. We had our annual parade where students got to showcase their costumes. The Jack O’Lantern photo contest was a big success this year. We had over 105 pumpkin carvings submitted. A special thank you to Nicole Pinheiro and Shanna Willson for judging our event.

    Nutrition Program – Muffin Days

So far the Muffin Monday program seems to be a hit. We hope to add other items to the program throughout the year. As always, we will have fresh fruit & veggies available for student snacks.

Please make sure your child’s allergy/medical information is up to date at all times. Also, if you have any concerns, please contact the office.
