2026-2027 Kindergarten Registration Opens January 5

To Register - clickhere.

About Our Program

The Black Gold School Division (BGSD) offers Kindergarten programs in all the communities in which we operate (Beaumont, Calmar, Devon, Leduc, New Sarepta, Thorsby, and Warburg).

To find your local program/school please visit BGSD’s Bus Planner – School Eligibility Page.

For more information, please contact the Early Years Consultant at [email protected]

Several BGSD schools offer programming options with varying days, length (full-day, every other day and half-day), and times.  Early French Immersion is offered in BGSD’s Beaumont Family of Schools as well as two locations in our Leduc Family of Schools (École Corinthia Park School and École Leduc Estates School). Please inquire with individual schools for programming details.

Programs and class preferences are subject to change based on enrollment, space and program viability. We encourage families to register early to avoid disappointment.

Our Kindergarten programs build on what your child has already learned at home and in your community. Our programs allow children to explore and experiment with their surroundings and to learn how to interact with other children. Our Kindergarten programs offer many benefits including:

  • Further developed skills in language arts, math, social studies, science, and the arts.
  • Improved personal and social skills.
  • Enhanced physical skills.

Nutrition Program

The Muffin Days program will be starting again this fall. To make some gluten aware & dairy free, we will use oat flour in place of wheat flour and water in place of milk. The office has reached out to contact all known food sensitivities. If you didn't receive a message, please contact the office directly.

NSES always has fresh fruit & veggies available for student snacks.

Please make sure your child’s allergy/medical information is up to date at all times. Also, if you have any concerns, please contact the office.

Recipes that are used will be posted here for you to review.

Milk Program

NSES offers white and chocolate milk for students at lunchtime. Milk cards are available for purchase on your child’s PowerSchool account. You are also welcome to send cash to the office. As costs have increased, we have to adjust the price of milk this year. There are 10 for $15.00 cards and 20 for $30 cards available to buy.

NSES Lost & Found

Lost & found items are located just outside the office. Please remind your children to check it regularly, and if you are at school, remember to have a look. All items not claimed will be donated periodically throughout the school year.

Li’l Buckaroo Design – Spirit Wear

We are fortunate to have an amazing local business that provides NSES Sabre Spirit Wear to our school community. If you want to add to your collection, check out the website & see all the fabulous designs.

PowerSchool
Black Gold PowerSchool functions best when accessed through a browser.

For any PowerSchool issues, please don't hesitate to contact the school office for assistance.

LRC Free Family Passes

NSES has two Family Passes to the Leduc Recreation Centre (LRC) for our families to borrow.
